1/17/05 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Happy New Year from Perfunktory! To kick of 2005, we have 2 pieces of news to let everyone know about
1. The Rockoffs
- On Saturday 1/15/05, Perfunktory played at the 2005 Clear Channel High School RockOffs. The crowd loved us and we played a pretty good show but in the end, our love songs just weren't cheesy enough. There were some great bands that played with us, so expect to see some of them at upcoming Perfunktory shows. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us. Photos from the show will be up soon
2. Perfunktory mp3's
- Perfunktory has a new website, solely dedicated to getting our music out there. Everyone should visit www.purevolume.com/perfunktory to see our new mp3 page. You can download our music or just listen to it directly from the site. Contact Perfunktory via Email or the guestbook to request certain live material you would like us to make available for you - the site will be updated regularly.
UPDATE: 1/13/05 - Tickets for the show at the Odeon (1/15/05) are sold out! Contact Perfunktory (Email, Guestbook) if you would still like to come to the show but do not have a ticket.
12/27/04 - BACK IN BUSINESS
It's been a long time coming, but Perfunktory is back on the web. There is a ton of news to report:
1. The Line-Up
- Following the departure of our long time friend and bassist Rissa Riss, we have rounded up a whole new lineup featuring 3 new members. In addition to Max, Jackson, and Casey "My sax is bigger than yours" Mundo, we have Ben Schnur (bass), Will Dudley (guitar), and Ian Bardenstein (saxophone, percussion). How funky can one band possibly get?
2. Recent Shows
- In the past few months, Perfunktory has played several shows featuring the new line-up and new songs. Three shows (2 headlining) were played at the Rhythm Room to a packed house. (see shows page for details)
3. Goodbye Rhythm Room
- Unfortunately, following our 3 show run at our homefield, the Rhythm Room, it was announced that the Rhythm Room would be permanantly closing its doors.
4. The Rockoffs
- On January 15th, 2005, Perfunktory will be taking the stage at the Cleveland High School Rockoffs for the second year in a row. Its all going down at the Odeon concert club. Tickets are available for $5 through any one of the band members or through Perfunktory Ticketing (216-403-3692: free delivery available for purchases of 2 or more tickets). Come support Perfunktory at the Rockoffs.
